Mundialito is a Uruguayan documentary film directed by Sebastián Bednarik. The film provides a look at the 1980 Gold Cup, called “Mundialito”, an international friendly soccer tournament organized by FIFA and the Uruguayan Soccer Association (AUF), which brought together the World Cup-winning national teams and countries Netherlands and was organized in Uruguay during a delicate political situation: a plebiscite organized by the Uruguayan military dictatorship seeking to “legalize” power through suffrage.
